Commissioned for the 75th anniversary of the Huntington Library, this commemorative book was a very special project. Custom photography of the grounds and items from the museum collections, custom decorative illustration and ornamental capital letters share the spotlight with the leather embossed binding containing a detailed image of the famous painting "Blue Boy" from the library's collection. These items come together to mark a significant milestone in the history of this world-famous institution. Contained within are dedicated articles about the grounds, library, and the collections of rare books and manuscripts, as well as the history of the institution and its founder, Henry Huntington. Specially commissioned photographs carefully matched the locations of old photographs of the grounds housed in the museum's collections and are presented side-by-side with those old photos, showing a facinating before and after perspective on the history of the gardens and grounds. Letters from all of the living U.S. presidents congratulating the Huntington on this milestone are reproduced within, punctuating the historic nature of this special day.

Copies of the special limited print run were presented to important patrons of the Huntington and copies have been placed in the museum's own collection.

It was an honor to be involved in this very special occasion and to have the opportunity to contribute to the history of the Huntington itself.
